Our Story
I come from Chinese and German lineage. My grandfather emigrated to the United States from China in 1910. In China, seniors are treated with great respect. My parents taught me that my elders are to be held in the highest regard because of the knowledge they’ve gained through life experience.

Over the years, I have learned how right my parents’ teachings were. The old adage, “with age comes wisdom,” is true. Every day at Angel’s Touch, I learn from our residents. I am inspired when I watch them enjoying each day in a caring community—yet at the same time, living as independently as they are able.

As all of us have seen, nursing homes are not a solution for most seniors who need help with activities of daily living. Seniors don’t want to be with hundreds of people in a large, impersonal facility. We don’t live that way when we are young, so why should we live that way when we are aging?

Unlike other “institutional” choices available today, Angel’s Touch makes it possible for our residents to receive assisted living care in a familiar, homelike setting. From assistance with bathing and personal hygiene to dressing and medication monitoring, we provide a level of service that meets their individual needs.

We encourage each resident to eat a well-balanced diet and to be as active as possible. We also consult with each resident’s personal physician and physical and occupational therapists, as needed. For those with memory disorders, services are provided by specially trained staff.

Along with our full-time residence program, we also provide a Respite Care and Day Respite Care Program. As openings permit, our Respite Care Program offers short-term care for seniors whose family members are away or who need an enhanced level of services during an illness. Our Day Respite Care Program offers senior guests an opportunity to spend the day with friends and loving caregivers in a range of activities.

At every turn, we value family member input and encourage their active participation in our team approach to providing care.
